About me
I'm Ayoub Zulfiqar, a systems architect and agentic AI engineer based in Lahore, Pakistan. I have spent 8 years working hands-on in systems architecture and security research, and I still write the code: low-level backends, embedded storage, AI pipelines and the security tooling around them. My main languages are Rust, Go and Python.
My current focus is agentic infrastructure. That means multi-agent orchestration for autonomous workflows, routing traffic across LLM providers, and the zero-trust controls that stop autonomous systems from doing more than they should. On the security side, I research zero-trust LLM architectures and post-quantum cryptography migration, and I publish open-source tools for server hardening.
I work remotely with flexible overlap for US and EU time zones, and I'm open to full-time roles. Most of what I build is public, so the quickest way to judge my work is to read it: every project below links to its source.
What I work on
Three disciplines with one aim: systems that are fast, observable and secure by default.
Systems Architecture
Low-latency backends, distributed systems and embedded storage engines, designed for reliability and speed. I care about clean architecture, performance and long-term maintainability more than novelty.
Agentic Engineering
Multi-agent orchestration frameworks for autonomous workflows, high-throughput AI pipelines, and LLM gateways with routing, caching, rate limiting and observability built in.
Security Auditing
Offensive security research, zero-trust reviews of LLM and agent deployments, post-quantum cryptography migration planning, and automated Linux server hardening.
Core stack
- Rust
- Go
- Python
- PyTorch
- Docker
- Linux
- Distributed Systems
I also ship TypeScript and Dart when the platform calls for it, as in AXIOM, Cascadia and PhoenixDB.
Selected projects
Tools, libraries and AI infrastructure I have designed and built, most of them open source. Each project page covers what it does, how to install it and how to use it.
Trace
RustArchitectural memory engine for AI coding agents, served over MCP: symbols, call graph, HTTP routes and decision records, kept fresh as the code changes.
AXIOM
TypeScriptBrowser-native orchestration console where an LLM orchestrator plans a mission and dispatches tasks to specialized agents in parallel, visualized live.
AeroLLM
GoLLM routing and proxy server that balances traffic across providers with round-robin, latency, cost, fallback and circuit-breaker strategies.
PhoenixDB
Rust + DartACID embedded database with a Rust core, exposed to Dart and Flutter through a zero-overhead FFI layer, with MVCC and vector search.
Cascadia
DartPure-Dart engine that parses, matches and serializes CSS Selectors Level 3 and 4, published on pub.dev and compatible with Flutter.
Automous
PythonProfile-based Linux server hardening from a single command, built on Ansible and the UT Austin Hardening Checklist.
Proxipy
PythonProduction-ready CORS proxy built with FastAPI, with streaming for large files, load balancing, rate limiting and health checks.
Snatch
RustNative GTK4 download manager for Linux that splits each file into 16 parallel parts and resumes after connection drops.
I also build and run web platforms such asAnimeDives, an anime archive and discovery site, andPokéEvent, a live Pokémon GO event tracker.See all projects.
Timeline
A public record of what I've built, dated by when each repository was created onGitHub. For roles and references, see LinkedIn.

Principles
Security and usability should grow together. I design systems that are resilient by default, without compromising on clarity or developer experience.
- Security by design is not a feature. It is a discipline.
- The best code is the code you do not have to explain.
- Attack surfaces shrink when you stop trusting blindly.
- Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication in systems architecture.
- If you cannot explain the threat model, you do not understand the system.
